Ben Rhodes finished a season-best second, ahead of points leader Johnny Sauter, polesitter Noah Gragson and Gragson’s Kyle Busch Motorsports teammate, Brandon Jones, who advanced a race-high 11 positions . Nemechek slipped to seventh at the checkered flag after leading a race-high 64 laps.

2018 24 Hours of Le Mans: The New LMP2 Class Winners (June 18, 2018)

Word came Monday of a shakeup in the final results for the 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 class. The No. 26 G-Drive Racing Oreca 07-Gibson, co-driven by Jean-Eric Vergne, Andrea Pizzitola and Roman Rusinov, led nearly the entire race, and for all three drivers, it marked what would have been their first victory in the race. However, officials disqualified the car after modifications to their fueling rig.

That elevated the No. 36 Signatech Alpine A470 Gibson of Nicholas Lapierre, Andre Negrao and Pierre Thiriet to the victory. Here’s a little information on the new winners.

Event statistics following the 15th race of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.

Clint Bowyer took his second victory of the season, in a race that was abbreviated by rain after 133 laps, only 13 laps into the final stage. Bowyer – who led only eight laps – and his No. 14 Ford team took two tires on his previous pit stop during the final caution period, which came out for the end of the second stage. Bowyer then held off teammate Kevin Harvick on what would be the final restart, moments before the rain fell. For Bowyer, it marked his second straight victory in which precipitation played a role; he won at Martinsville Speedway in March in a race that was postponed a day due to snow.

Hunter-Reay – now fourth in points after Sunday’s win and Saturday’s runner-up finish – won by 11.3549 seconds over Indianapolis 500 winner Will Power. Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Ed Jones and Scott Dixon – the Race 1 winner – and last year’s double-race winner Graham Rahal, rounded out the top five.
