Lewis Hamilton earned his 65th career Formula 1 victory, one day after scoring his 75th career pole position. Max Verstappen finished second and Kimi Raikkonen was third. The race saw significant action on the first lap, which included separate incidents involving previous points leader Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas, as well as two of the three French drivers in the event.
