The latest edition of the all-encompassing Motor Racing Statistics “By The Numbers” blog, which looks at numbers throughout many forms of motorsports. This blog runs on Tuesdays through the year.

3 – Thierry Neuville earned his third World Rally Championship victory of the season Sunday in the Rally Italia Sardegna, opening up a 27-point advantage in the points standings over Sebastien Ogier with six of the 13 races remaining.

4 – Four drivers have multiple victories in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition this season: Kevin Harvick (five wins), Kyle Busch (four), Martin Truex Jr. (two) and Clint Bowyer (two).

4 – Tyler Courtney earned his series-leading fourth USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series feature of the season Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa.

6 – Sheldon Creed became the sixth driver to win a race during the 2018 ARCA Racing Series season Friday at Michigan International Speedway, leading 65 of 100 laps to win by 9.006 seconds over Riley Herbst. All eight ARCA races this season have been won by Toyota.

6 – The six-race Eastern Storm series for the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series schedule begins Thursday, June 14, at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. The six-race schedule also visits Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway and BAPS Motor Speedway in Pennsylvania, Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey and Weedsport Speedway in New York.

7 – Lucas di Grassi scored his seventh career FIA Formula E victory Saturday in the Zurich ePrix in Switzerland. It was di Grassi’s fifth consecutive podium.

9 – Jason Johnson won the first event of the 40th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals at Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota, becoming the ninth driver to win a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series A-Main feature this season. He followed that up with his second victory of the season the following day.

12 – Austin Dillon became the 12th driver this season to win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, winning the rain-shortened, 91-lap LTi Printing 250 at Michigan International Speedway.

20 – Steve Torrence scored his 20th career NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Top Fuel victory, dispatching of Scott Palmer, Terry McMillen and Antron Brown in the first three rounds of Sunday’s Virginia NHRA Nationals, before defeating Doug Kalitta in the final round with a pass of 3.812 seconds at 322.96 mph.

24 – Jan Lammers, a co-winner of the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans, will make his 24th start in the race, the most of any driver in this year’s field. Lammers, driving this year in the LMP2 category, will share the No. 29 Dallara P217 Gibson with Frits van Eerd and Giedo van der Garde.

37 – Each of the last five IndyCar Series races have been won by a 37-year-old driver. Will Power and Scott Dixon have each won twice, while Ryan Hunter-Reay added a victory.

43 – Scott Dixon won his 43rd IndyCar race Saturday, the DXC Technology 600, at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth to move into sole possession of third all-time in IndyCar wins. It marked Dixon’s third victory at Texas; he also won races at the track in 2008 and 2015, en route to winning the series championship.

50 – Sebastian Vettel became the fourth driver to win 50 Formula 1 World Championship races, when he led from start to finish in Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. He joins Michael Schumacher (91), Lewis Hamilton (64) and Alain Prost (51) to reach the 50-win plateau.

81 – Tom McEwen, legendary NHRA racer known as “The Mongoose,” died Sunday at the age of 81. McEwen won five races – including the 1978 U.S. Nationals – and was voted No. 16 on NHRA’s Top 50 Drivers list in 2001.

86 – This weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans is the 86th edition of the French classic.

100 – Scott Dixon scored his 100th career IndyCar podium in winning the DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

105 – Scott Dixon’s win at Texas Motor Speedway was the 105th IndyCar win for Chip Ganassi Racing.

444 – Ryan Blaney has led 444 laps in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition this season, the most of any driver without a victory.
