By The Numbers

2 – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Ben Rhodes won his home race Thursday at Kentucky Speedway, leading the final 24 laps and 38 overall. Rhodes is from Louisville.

3 – Three drivers heading into this weekend’s German Grand Prix, the 11th stop for the Formula 1 World Championship circuit, have won the event. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are each three-time race winners, while Sebastian Vettel won his home grand prix once. All three of Alonso’s wins and two of Hamilton’s three triumphs have come at Hockenheim, while Vettel’s only German Grand Prix win came at the Nurburgring in 2013.

3 – Christopher Bell scored his third career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory Friday at Kentucky Speedway, officially coming from the 12th starting position. Bell, however, started from the back after spinning out during qualifying, thus making his run even more impressive.

6 – Rudolf Caracciola leads all drivers in German Grand Prix victories with six ((1926, 1928, 1931, 1932, 1937, 1939) – five at the Nurburgring and all prior to World War II and the creation of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

7 – After failing to finish two of the first four races in the 2017-18 Formula E season, and earning points for the first time in the fifth round of the 12-race campaign, Lucas di Grassi ended the season with seven consecutive top-two finishes. While not in contention for the championship, he narrowly earned second in the standings, one point ahead of Sam Bird, a year after winning the title.

8 – Gus Dean came from two laps behind to win Saturday’s Sioux Chief PowerPex 250 – the 13th round of the ARCA Racing Series season – at Elko Speedway in Minnesota. Dean led 22 laps and ended Toyota’s winning streak, putting Chevrolet in victory lane after 12 straight victories to start the season for Toyota.

39 – This weekend’s Mopar Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway is the 39th edition of the race as part of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, and kicks off the three-race Western Swing.

44 – It had been 44 years since three drivers have won at least four races in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, but Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. have accomplished the feat in 2018. Harvick and Busch each have five wins, with Truex’s most recent win, the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway, giving him four.

44 – Scott Dixon dominated Sunday’s Honda Indy Toronto at Exhibition Place in Toronto, tying him with Josef Newgarden for the most victories in the Verizon IndyCar Series this season – three – and earned a 44th career IndyCar win. The win also pushed Dixon’s points lead to 62 points with five races remaining.

47 – This weekend’s Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon marks the 47th race at the New England track.

54 – Jean-Eric Vergne ended his Formula E season with his series-leading fourth victory in the final race of the 2017-18 campaign on the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Vergne completed the season with a 54-point win over defending series champion Lucas di Grassi, who nipped Sam Bird by one point for the runner-up position in the standings.

77 – This weekend’s German Grand Prix marks the 77th in the event’s history and the 36th at the Hockenheimring.

100 – Christopher Bell gave Keith Kunz Motorsports its 100th USAC P1 Insurance National Midget Series feature victory Tuesday, July 10, at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma. KKM is the second USAC team to earn a 100th victory this season in a specific series; earlier in the year, Dynamics Inc. (Hoffman Auto Racing) earned its 100th win in the Amsoil National Sprint Car Series.

174 – Martin Truex Jr. led 174 laps in Saturday’s Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway, en route to his 19th career victory.

600 – Scott Bloomquist scored his 600th career feature victory Saturday in the 50-lap CMH Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, passing Jimmy Owens on Lap 32 of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race. Bloomquist earned $12,000 for the victory.
