o   1st Hour: Ricky Taylor, #7 Acura DPi, 27 laps during hour (+1.081 seconds over second)
o   2nd Hour: Oliver Jarvis, #77 Mazda DPi, 32 laps during hour (+35.173 seconds over second)

Prototype/Overall Notes
- The distance between overall leader Pipo Derani and second-place Helio Castroneves (#7 Acura DPi) was 1.633 seconds, as Brazilians hold the first two positions. Filipe Albuquerque (#5 Cadillac DPi) was third.
- A total of 26 laps (97.5 miles/156.91 kilometers) were completed during the fifth hour and a total of 145 laps (573.75 miles/923.36 kilometers) through five hours.
- A total of two cars were not on the track at the end of the fifth hour: #2 Nissan DPi (Prototype) and #64 Ferrari 488 (GTD).
- A total of seven cars and 12 drivers have led the race: #90 Cadillac (Tristan Vautier); #7 Acura (Ricky Taylor); #55 Mazda DPi (Jonathan Bomarito, Spencer Pigot); #31 Cadillac DPi (Felipe Nasr, Eric Curran); #77 Mazda DPi (Oliver Jarvis, Tristan Nunez); #22 Nissan DPi (Johannes van Overbeek, Nicolas Lapierre, Pipo Derani); and #10 Cadillac DPi (Jordan Taylor).
- Only nine cars were on the lead lap at the end of five hours.
- The #22 Nissan DPi is the only Prototype in which every driver has led. Derani picked up the lead for the first time during the fifth hour.
- Alex Brundle spun and stalled his car on the restart of the second caution, brought out by a canopy that blew onto the track near the end of the fourth hour (that caution was 16 minutes). The Brundle caution was the third caution, and lasted four minutes, from the four-hour, nine-minute mark until the four-hour, 13-minute mark.
- The fourth caution came out for debris from Dirk Mueller’s car (#66 Ford GT, GTLM). The caution lasted for 15 minutes, from the four-hour, 22-minute mark to four-hour, 37-minute mark.
- Most of the leaders pitted at the four-hour, 27-minute mark.

- A total of six cars and 10 drivers have led the race: #24 BMW M8 (Jesse Krohn); #62 Ferrari 488 (James Calado, Toni Vilander, Alessandro Pier Guidi); #911 Porsche RSR (Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet); #67 Ford GT (Richard Westbrook, Ryan Briscoe); #912 Porsche RSR (Gianmaria Bruni); and #4 Corvette C7.R (Oliver Gavin).
- Six of the nine GTLM cars remained on the lead lap.
- Five different drivers in five different makes have led at the five one-hour marks.
- Dirk Mueller made contact with a GTD and suffered wing damage around the four-hour, 20-minute mark, which led to a cut tire and extended pit stop (due to damage to the wing and left side of the car).
