Prototype/Overall Notes
- The distance between overall leader Helio Castroneves and second-place Mike Conway (#31 Cadillac DPi) was 13.675 seconds; Castroneves had pitted moments before the second full course caution came out. Pipo Derani (#22 Nissan DPi) was third.
- A total of 30 laps (112.5 miles/181.05 kilometers) were completed during the fourth hour and a total of 119 laps (446.25 miles/719.17 kilometers) through four hours.
- A total of three cars were not on the track at the end of the fourth hour: #2 Nissan DPi (Prototype) and #64 Ferrari 488 (GTD).
- A total of seven cars and 11 drivers have led the race: #90 Cadillac (Tristan Vautier); #7 Acura (Ricky Taylor); #55 Mazda DPi (Jonathan Bomarito, Spencer Pigot); #31 Cadillac DPi (Felipe Nasr, Eric Curran); #77 Mazda DPi (Oliver Jarvis, Tristan Nunez); #22 Nissan DPi (Johannes van Overbeek, Nicolas Lapierre); and #10 Cadillac DPi (Jordan Taylor).

- The second caution period began with nine minutes left in the fourth hour, when a canopy blew onto the track in Turn 10. The caution had been out for nine minutes at the end of the fourth hour.
- Jordan Taylor put the #10 Cadillac DPi into the lead for the first time.
- Helio Castroneves pitted moments before the caution flag for the canopy and inherited the lead for the first time with six minutes remaining in the fourth hour.

- Oliver Gavin took over the lead for the first time during the fourth hour. Gianmaria Bruni #912 Porsche RSR) also took the lead for the first time during the fourth hour.
