3.628 – Clay Millican eclipsed his own NHRA national elapsed time record in qualifying for the Lucas Oil Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, California, recording an impressive 3.628-second pass in his Top Fuel car, three thousandths of a second quicker than the record he set last year at Gateway Motorsports Park.


5 – Number of American Le Mans Series GT championships for German driver Jorg Bergmeister, who celebrates his birthday on Tuesday, February 13.

7 – Stig Blomqvist holds the record for Rally Sweden victories with seven. The Rally Sweden begins this Friday.

7 – Former Daytona 500 winners entered in this weekend’s race – Kurt Busch (2017), Denny Hamlin (2016), Joey Logano (2015), Jimmie Johnson (2013, 2006), Trevor Bayne (2011), Jamie McMurray (2010) and Ryan Newman (2008).

27 – Number of Funny Car class victories for Matt Hagan, who won Sunday’s Winternationals to become the first Funny Car driver in more than 30 years to win the event in consecutive years.

37 – The 37th NASCAR Xfinity Series season kicks off with this weekend’s PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

45 – Number of scheduled events for the 2018 USAC National Sprint Car Series season, which kicks off this weekend with the Winter Dirt Games at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida.

177.602 – The fastest Daytona 500 on record was won at the speed of 177.602 mph by Buddy Baker in 1980. It was Baker’s 18th start in the race, and resulted in his only 500 win.

191 – This weekend’s Daytona 500 will mark Danica Patrick’s 191st and final Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.


251 – Donny Schatz ended last weekend’s DIRTcar Nationals swing at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, with a career total of 251 World of Outlaws A-Main feature victories, after winning twice at the half-mile track.
