to start the countdown to the great race than 102 different statistics

Each day from now until the Saturday before the Indianapolis
500, there will be a post with stats related to the race. Some of well-known
statistics, while others are a little more in-depth.
Today’s focus is simple – a straight list of the 71 race
winners from nine countries, by number of Indianapolis 500s they’ve won. This
list is in chronological order of the number of victories they achieved (for
example, Foyt was the first four-time winner, Louis Meyer the first three-time
