- This was Sauter’s third victory at Daytona, breaking a deadlock with Todd Bodine for most series victories at the track by one driver.
- Sauter has now won at least one race in three consecutive NASCAR Truck Series seasons and nine of the last 10 years (exception being 2015).
- Sauter led a race-high 39 laps, becoming the first driver since 2015 to win the Daytona race after leading the most laps. In Sauter’s other two victories, he did not lead the most laps of either race, combining for only 29 total laps led in those wins.
- Sauter has now led a total of 1,901 laps, the 1,900th lap led coming as the field came to the white flag. He also completed his 33,000 lap of competition after completing the 55th lap.
- For Chevrolet, it marked the third consecutive victory at Daytona and third overall in the Truck Series race at the 2.5-mile track. It also added to GM’s victory total at the track this year, after Cadillac won the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
- Justin Haley recorded a career-best second-place finish in giving Maury Gallagher a 1-2 finish. Haley led nine laps, the second-most in any Truck Series race of his career. It was Haley’s first race at Daytona.
- Joe Nemechek finished third, the second-best result of his 40 Truck Series career races.
- Ben Rhodes finished fourth, the only non-Chevrolet driver in the top five. It marked his 10th top-five finish in only 51 career races.

- For only the third time in his 196 career series races, Travis Kvapil finished last.
- A total of 15 drivers improved on their starting position in the race, including each of the top-seven finishers.
