Hamilton bested Sebastian Vettel by more than 17 seconds to increase his points lead. Hamilton, who also won the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2016, has yet to win the title, however, in a season in which he’s won the Grand Prix of Hungary.

Schatz’s last victory, however, was the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on July 14.

He finished 21 points ahead of Kevin Thomas Jr. in the seven-race contest, despite not winning a feature. Windom – who also won the Eastern Storm title in June – also remains ahead in the overall standings by a mere eight points over Thomas as the series heads for a three-week break.
