The latest edition of the all-encompassing Motor Racing Statistics “By The Numbers” blog, which looks at numbers throughout many forms of motorsports. This blog runs on Tuesdays through the year.

2 – Michael Self won his second ARCA Racing Series event of the season Thursday, June 28, at Chicagoland Speedway.

3 – Stephen Simpson and Misha Goikhberg celebrated their third IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory in winning Sunday’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International, with Simpson moving from third to first with 35 minutes remaining in the race. For co-driver Chris Miller, it was his second career IMSA win.

4.1 – Scott Dixon has an average finish of 4.1 through 10 Verizon IndyCar Series races this season.

5 – David Pearson holds the record for victories in the Coke Zero Sugar 400, with five.

6.82 – Kyle Busch has an average finish of 6.82 through 17 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races this season. That includes 10 top threes and 12 top fives, and only two finishes worse than 13th.

12 – Donny Schatz scored his 12th World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory Friday at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, winning a 25-lap race on the opening night of the Brownells Big Guns Bash.

15 – Ferrari holds the record for constructors victories in the British Grand Prix, with 15.

25 – The British Grand Prix has been won by British drivers 25 times, including each of the last four races – all by Lewis Hamilton. The 1957 race was won by two British drivers, Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks. Moss was the first British driver to win the race, in 1955 at Aintree.

33 – With his retirement late in Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, Lewis Hamilton’s record streak of 33 consecutive races scoring points came to an end.

41 – The World of Outlaws will run a 41-lap feature this Saturday at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, in honor of the late Jason Johnson, who died following an accident in June. Johnson was 41 years old.

48 – Kyle Busch scored his 48th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway. Busch is the 15th different driver to reach the 48-win mark.

60 – This weekend’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 marks the 60th edition of the race, known as the Firecracker 250, Firecracker 400 and Pepsi 400, among other names.

73 – This weekend’s British Grand Prix marks the 73rd edition of the event.

81 – The King, Richard Petty, turned 81 years old Monday, July 2.

200 – Richard Petty’s 200th and final victory was the 1984 Firecracker 400, now known as the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

300 – This weekend’s IndyCar Series race, the Iowa Corn 300, is 300 laps. It marks the most laps for a single IndyCar race this season. 

1,032 – Kevin Harvick has led a series-high 1,032 laps in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition this season. He surpassed the 1,000 laps led mark Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois.
