- Tanak joins Sebastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville as a winner of a WRC event in 2018. Ogier leads all drivers with three victories, while Tanak and Neuville each have won.
- Tanak now has at least one victory in each of the last two seasons. Tanak’s first victory came in the 2017 Rally Italia.
- Tanak won 10 stages of the Rally Argentina, the most stages a driver has won in a WRC event this season (previous most came in Rally Sweden, when Tanak won six stages). Tanak has won a season-high 27 stages in 2018, and his home country of Estonia leads all countries in stage wins with 27.
- Tanak is the only driver to win at least one stage in all five WRC events this season.
- This is Tanak’s third podium of the season and second in succession. Tanak was also second at Monte Carlo and Tour de Corse. Overall, Tanak has 14 career WRC podiums.
- Tanak shared his victory with co-driver Martin Jarveoja. All three of Tanak’s WRC career victories have come with Jarveoja.

- Defending Rally Argentina winner Thierry Neuville and co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul finished second, their third podium of the season. Neuville, in the No. 5 Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, won four stages, including the first stage, in which he and Gilsoul lead the overall standings. The pair moved into second overall in stage wins in 2018 with 15.
- Neuville, now has 30 career WRC podiums, also won the 16.43-kilometer Power Stage by a half second over Sebastien Ogier.
- Dani Sordo and co-driver Carlos del Barrio won two stages in Rally Argentina en route to third in the No. 6 Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. It marked Sordo’s second podium of the season; he was second in Rally Mexico.
- Sebastien Ogier and co-driver Julien Ingrassi were fourth in the No. 1 Ford Fiesta WRC. Ogier, who won one stage in the event, has never won Rally Argentina in nine attempts. Ogier was fourth in the 2017 event and has finished as high as second on three occasions (2013, 2014 and 2016).
