86 Stats in 86 Days Until 86th 24 Hours of Le Mans – Day 19, Wins at Le Mans and 12 Hours of Sebring (April 9, 2018)

The 86th annual 24 Hours of Le Mans is 68 days away! This is the 19th day of the 86 Stats in 86 Days Until the 86th 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Each day from now until the Friday before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we’ll post a list of stats related to the race. Some are well-known statistics, while others are a little more in-depth.

Here is a look at the drivers that have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring overall (a look at all of the drivers who have won their class will be in an upcoming post). A total of 40 drivers have won both of the races overall.

The total is a substantially higher than Daytona, for certain reasons. For example, the cars and regulations were similar (in many cases, the same) throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, whereas the Rolex 24 At Daytona used a different formula. Additionally, the 12 Hours of Sebring began in 1950, whereas the Rolex 24 began in 1962. And of course, no two races are the same – especially two like Daytona and Sebring, with all that can happen in these lengthy races.
