Each day from now until the Friday before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we’ll post a list of stats related to the race. Some are well-known statistics, while others are a little more in-depth.

Here is a look at the teams that have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans overall on multiple occasions. Joest Racing leads all teams with 15, closely followed by Porsche – which has won the race the last three years overall – with 12.

Notes of Interest
- Joest Racing won its first race in 1984 with a Porsche 956, and its next three victories were with Porsches as well (1985, 1996 and 1997). The last seven victories for Joest Racing came with Audis.
- Tom Kristensen earned five of his nine victories with Joest Racing: 2000-2002, 2008 and 2013.
- Joest Racing earned five straight wins between 2010 and 2014, including three with Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer. That five consecutive wins tied a record set by Scuderia Ferrari, which won five straight from 1960 to 1964.
- Four of Jacky Ickx’s six victories came with the Porsche team: 1976, 1977, 1981 and 1982. Derek Bell also won four of his five races in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Porsche team: 1981, 1982, 1986 and 1987.
- Of Ferrari’s seven victories, Olivier Gendebien co-won four of those: 1958, 1960, 1961 and 1962. In three of those races, he co-drove with Phil Hill.
