Notes of Interest – Race Recap (Stockton Dirt Track)
- This is Cory Eliason’s first career World of Outlaws A-Main victory. He becomes the 141st driver to win an A-Main feature and third driver this season to score his maiden victory, joining Sheldon Haudenschild and Aaron Reutzel.
- Eliason is the fourth driver to win an A-Main feature this season, joining Haudenschild, Reutzel and Donny Schatz.
- Eliason is the first driver to win an A-Main feature this season from the pole position, and the first to lead every lap of a race.
- Eliason is the sixth driver in eight races to win a World of Outlaws A-Main at Stockton Dirt Track. He joins Kyle Larson, Kerry Madsen, Rico Abreu, Donny Schatz and Brad Sweet. Schatz owns a track-record three victories. Brad Sweet was the last first-time winner at the track.
- Eliason is the first driver this season to win on a three-eighths mile oval.
- Eliason’s previous best finish this season was second, in the most recent race at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California.
- Eliason has now led the most laps in each of the last two races.

- Donny Schatz finished 14th, the first time he’s finished outside the top 10 in 21 races. The last time he finished outside the top 10 was September 9, 2017, at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, when he finished 11th. Schatz entered the race as the only driver to finish in the top-five and top-10 in every race this season.
- After five consecutive top-10 finishes to start the season, Sheldon Haudenschild has finished outside the top-10 in consecutive A-Main features. He finished 11th Saturday. Haudenschild won the B-Main, becoming the first driver this season to win the B-Main twice.
- Michael Kofoid won the C-Main but did not advance to the A-Main. None of the four C-Main race winners this year has advanced to the A-Main.
- A total of 14 drivers finished the race on the lead lap, the fewest in a race this season.
- Three drivers have completed all 215 A-Main feature laps this season: Donny Schatz, Brad Sweet and Shane Stewart.
- Brad Sweet and David Gravel scored their first heat victories of the season, bringing the total number of drivers to win a heat this season to 17. Brian Brown earned his season-leading fourth heat victory.
- The next race will be Friday, March 23, with the Ocean Outlaws Showdown at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, California.
- A total of three races on the California swing have been canceled due to rain, and six this season have been canceled or postponed (including the race at Placerville Speedway, which was originally scheduled for this Wednesday, March 21; the race has been postponed to September 12).
