Prototype/Overall Notes
- This is the second victory in three years for Pipo Derani and Johannes van Overbeek, as part of Tequila Patron ESM, and the first for Nicolas Lapierre. Derani and van Overbeek won the 2016 race with Ed Brown and Scott Sharp.
- Lapierre is the first French driver to win the 12 Hours of Sebring overall in 2013. It marks his second victory in the race and first since 2011.
- Derani led Renger van der Zande to the checkered flag by 12.427 seconds. Van der Zande was driving the No. 10 Cadillac DPi, which won the 2017 race with Ricky and Jordan Taylor and Alex Lynn. It marked van der Zande’s best career finish at Sebring.
- A total of 32 laps (120 miles/193.12 kilometers) were completed during the 12th hour and a total of 344 laps (1,290 miles/2,076.05 kilometers) were completed during the race. The 2017 race was completed in 347 laps.
- A total of four cars were not on the track at the end of the race: #2 Nissan DPi, #7 Acura DPi and #6 Acura DPi (Prototype) and #64 Ferrari 488 (GTD).
- A total of seven cars and 15 drivers led the race: #90 Cadillac (Tristan Vautier); #7 Acura (Ricky Taylor); #55 Mazda DPi (Jonathan Bomarito, Spencer Pigot, Harry Tincknell); #31 Cadillac DPi (Felipe Nasr, Eric Curran, Mike Conway); #77 Mazda DPi (Oliver Jarvis, Tristan Nunez); #22 Nissan DPi (Johannes van Overbeek, Nicolas Lapierre, Pipo Derani); and #10 Cadillac DPi (Jordan Taylor, Renger van der Zande).
