Notes of Interest
- The Rolex 24 At Daytona/12 Hours of Sebring double (36
Hours of Florida sweep) has been accomplished only 11 times since 1962.
- A total of 24 drivers have won the Rolex 24 At Daytona and
12 Hours of Sebring in the same year. Ricky and Jordan Taylor are the most
recent drivers to accomplish the feat, in 2017.
- Scott Sharp is the only driver to win the Rolex 24 At
Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring in the year more than once. He accomplished
the feat in 1996 and 2016.
- A number of drivers also competed with the drivers above
in one of the two races. For example, Vic Elford, Jochen Neerpasch and Rolf
Stommelen were also part of the Rolex 24 winning team in 1968, but those three
drivers were not part of the Sebring winning team.
- A number of drivers have also won both races in the same
season but not overall, i.e., only in their class, or in some cases, overall in
one of the races and class victory in the other race.
