-       The distance between overall leader Mike Conway and second-place Helio Castroneves (#7 Acura) at the end of the sixth hour was 7.705 seconds. Christian Fittipaldi (#5 Cadillac) was third.
-       Temperature was 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18.3 degrees Celsius) at the end of the sixth hour.
-       Light rain at the end of five hours turned into a strong rainfall all around the track about eight minutes into the sixth hour. Many of the top runners came into the pits for tire changes. Bryan Sellers (#48 Lamborghini) spun at the five-hour, eight-minute mark but did not hit anything and continued on.
-       There were eight cars on the lead lap overall at the end of the sixth hour.
-       There were one full-course caution in the first six hours.
-       GTD leader Luca Stolz (#33 Mercedes-AMG GT3) overshot his pit at the five-hour, 14-minute mark. Jeroen Bleekemolen replaced him in the car.

-       Bill Auberlen’s car (#25 BMW M8) suffered a blown right-front tire in NASCAR 2 at the five-hour, 42-minute mark and he limped back to the pits with significant suspension, bodywork and hood damage.
