It marks the third overall victory for Joao Barbosa and fourth in class, while Christian Fittipaldi has recorded his third overall win as well. The trio led the final 292 laps and 577 of the 808 laps. There were 69 lead changes.

-       Ryan Briscoe kept the Chip Ganassi team 24-for-24 in the lead at the hour-intervals. He led Joey Hand (#66 Ford GT) by 11.180 seconds at the checkered flag.
