-       There’s a lot going on at the front of the field overall. In addition to the problems with the lead #5 Cadillac, Mike Conway (#31 Cadillac DPi) brought the car in with overheating issues, and he fell three laps in arrears of the lead. Then, with Will Owen (#32 Ligier LMP2) in third and closing on Conway for second, his car was brought in with problems. The team began working on the rear of the car. Romain Dumas (#54 ORECA LMP2) moved to third, the highest that his car has run this race, though still four laps behind Conway. Dumas has never won the Rolex 24 but has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice overall (2010 and 2016), with an additional class win in 2013.
