Notes of Interest – Race/Weekend Recap
- This is Kyle Larson's second NASCAR Xfinity Series victory of the season and the 10th of his career. Larson also won the third race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada.
- This is his first win at Chicagoland Speedway and fifth on a track measuring a mile-and-a-half.
- Larson now has Xfinity Series victories at nine different tracks. The only track at which Larson has won multiple races is Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
- Larson is the 16th different winner to triumph in an Xfinity Series race at Chicagoland.
- Larson is one of three drivers with multiple victories during the 2018 season, joining Brad Keselowski and Justin Allgaier.
