Each day from now until the Saturday before the Indianapolis 500, we’ll post a list of stats related to the race. Some are well-known statistics, while others are a little more in-depth.

Here is a look at the teams that have won the Pit Stop Challenge. Team Penske leads with 17, nearly three times as many as the nearest team, Galles Racing (six).

Notes of Interest
- Overall, 14 teams have won the Pit Stop Challenge, including seven at least twice.
- Team Penske has won with seven drivers: Bobby Unser, Rick Mears, Danny Sullivan, Sam Hornish Jr., Helio Castroneves, Ryan Briscoe and Will Power.
- Team Penske has won 10 of the last 12 Pit Stop Challenges, dating back to the 2005 competition, and each of the last three. Since 2005, only Chip Ganassi Racing has dethroned them, with Scott Dixon winning in 2012 and 2014.
- Newman/Haas Racing only won once, but made it to the finals six times.
- Team Penske made the finals in with two cars in 2007, the last team with two cars in the final round. Others were AMI Racing (1980) and Galles-Kraco Racing (1990).
