Harvick earned his series-high fifth victory at Atlanta in dominating fashion,
leading 141 of the 163 laps to earn his 98th NASCAR national victory (37 in
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series; 47 in NASCAR Xfinity Series; and 14 in NASCAR
Camping World Truck Series). Joey Logano took second, with a late-race pass
over rookie Christopher Bell, who earned a season-best third-place finish.

Recap
- This was
Kevin Harvick’s first victory of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season and his 47th
of his career. This is his fifth career Xfinity Series victory at Atlanta.
- This is
Harvick’s first Xfinity Series victory since 2015, when he won at California
Speedway in Fontana.
- This is
Harvick’s first Xfinity Series victory from the fifth starting position since 2006,
when he won at Memphis Motorsports Park.
- Harvick’s
last victory at Atlanta was in 2015, his third straight win at the track after
triumphs in 2013 and 2014. He also won at Atlanta in 2009. He has won four of
the last six races at Atlanta.
- Harvick has
won Xfinity Series races at Atlanta with four different teams – his own, Richard
Childress Racing, JR Motorsports and Fred Biagi.
- Harvick was
one of only three drivers to lead the race – he led a race-high 141 laps. He
has now led laps in each of his last two races in the Xfinity Series.
- This marked
Ford’s first victory at Atlanta since 2012, when Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won. Ford
now has 10 Xfinity Series victories at Atlanta, three behind Chevrolet.
- Joey Logano
finished second, his first top-five finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this
season and 91st of his career. Logano is the only driver this year to lead in
each of the first two Xfinity Series races.
- Christopher
Bell earned third-place in his first Xfinity Series race at Atlanta. He now has
six top 10s in 10 career Xfinity Series races. Bell earned the pole position
for the race, the second of his career and first of the season.
- John Hunter
Nemechek finished fourth in his Xfinity Series debut, driving for Chip Ganassi
Racing. He drove the highest-finishing Chevrolet.
- Elliott
Sadler finished fifth, becoming the only driver this season with a top-five
finish in each of the first two races.

Justin Allgaier finished a season-best sixth, while Austin Cindric, in only his
third career Xfinity Series race, finished seventh, the last driver to finish
on the lead lap.
- Harvick and
Nemechek were two of 10 drivers to make their season-debut at Atlanta: Kyle
Benjamin (8th); Ty Dillon (13th); Chase Briscoe (15th); B.J. McLeod (30th);
Tommy Joe Martins (33rd); Timmy Hill (34th); Matt Mills (36th); and Morgan
Shepherd (38th) were all season-debutants.
- A total of 22
drivers improved on their starting position in the race, including two of the
top-five finishers.
