The 86th annual 24 Hours of Le Mans is 20 days away! This is the 67th day of the 86 Stats in 86 Days Until the 86th 24 Hours of Le Mans blog.
Each day from now until the Friday before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we’ll post a list of stats related to the race. Some are well-known statistics, while others are a little more in-depth.
They are two very different disciplines, but there have been many instances where rally and endurance racing has seen crossover. Several World Rally Championship drivers have ventured to the world’s most prestigious endurance race to test their skills, and five WRC driving champions have competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Three of those five have earned podiums in their class.

- Colin McRae – 1995 WRC Champ, 1 attempt at 24 Hours of Le Mans (2004 GTS, 3rd place)
- Sebastien Loeb – 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 WRC Champ, 2 attempts at 24 Hours of Le Mans (2005, LMP1; 2006 LMP1, 2nd place)
