Event Recap: 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series Statistics from Kentucky (July 13, 2018)

Event statistics following the 17th race of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky.

Christopher Bell came from the back to the front, leading the final 17 laps to record his second Xfinity Series victory of the season. Bell, who spun in qualifying, was forced to start at the back (officially, he started 12th, but dropped to the back at the start), but quickly worked his way through the field and was a frontrunner for much of the event. He led Daniel Hemric by almost a second at the checkered flag, with Kyle Busch, Justin Allgaier and polesitter Cole Custer – all of whom led the event for at least 14 laps – rounding out the top five. Bell took over the points lead with two wins and 12 playoff points.
