Event Recap: 2017-18 Formula E Paris ePrix Statistics (April 28)

Event statistics following the eighth round of the 2017-18 FIA Formula E season, the Qatar Airways Paris ePrix on the temporary, 1.93-kilometer (1.199-mile) Circuit des Invalides on the streets of Paris, France.

Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne, in his home race, dominated the streets of Paris from the pole position for his series-leading third victory, leading 46 of 49 laps to extend his points lead. Lucas di Grassi finished nearly five seconds behind, with Sam Bird rounding out the podium.

It was also the sixth race of the 2018 calendar year (first two rounds in Hong Kong were held at the end of 2017).

Notes of Interest
- This is Jean-Eric Vergne’s series-leading third Formula E victory of the season and the fourth of his career.
- Vergne’s third Formula E wins this season mark the most in his career. He won one race during the 2016-17 season.
- This is Vergne’s first victory in Europe. His previous victories came in South America (two, Chile and Uruguay) and North America (one, Canada).
- Vergne’s victory came from the pole position; he has a season-high four poles this season. All three of Vergne’s wins this season have come from the pole. Felix Rosenqvist is the only other driver to win a race from the pole this season (Hong Kong #2).
- Vergne is one of three drivers this season with multiple victories – Sam Bird and Felix Rosenqvist each have two wins. Daniel Abt has one victory, at Mexico City.
- Vergne has finished on the podium in four races, and in the top five in all eight races this season (three wins, one second, one fourth and three fifths). Vergne has led the points standings following each of the last five races, and boosted his advantage to 31 points with four races remaining.

- Germans Andre Lotterer and Daniel Abt were sixth and seventh at Paris.
- Edoardo finished 13th, having led one lap, his first race led since Hong Kong #2 (led 40 of 45 laps).
- Mitch Evans finished 15th, the last driver to finish on the lead lap. Evans has finished on the lead lap in every race this season, and one of three drivers to finish every lap this season.
- Max Qinghua replaced Luca Filippi in the No. 68 Spark-NIO and finished 17th, the final car to finish. It was Qinghua’s first Formula E race of the season. Meanwhile, it marked the first Formula E race in which Filippi did not compete this season.
- Antonio Felix da Costa suffered his first DNF of the season, dropping out after two laps due to electrical problems. Felix da Costa had completed every lap of the first seven races.
- A total of 20 drivers have scored points this season.
- The next FIA Formula E race is Saturday, May 19, with the Berlin ePrix in Berlin, Germany.
